Privacy Policy

This page describes the information the site may receive, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors. It should be read together with any consent choices shown on the site.

1. Site operator and contact

PS5 Field Guide is an independent publication operating at playstation5.co. Privacy questions can be sent to support@playstation5.co.

2. Information received automatically

The hosting provider may process standard server-log information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, requested URL, date and time, browser or device information, response status, and security events. Retention and access depend on the hosting provider's configuration.

3. Information you provide

If you send an email, we receive the address, message, attachments, and any information you choose to include. This information is used to respond, investigate corrections, or handle privacy and accessibility requests. Do not send PlayStation passwords or payment information.

4. Current cookie and analytics status

At the date shown above, Google Analytics and advertising scripts are disabled in the published site source prepared for deployment. The site does not offer a newsletter account, user login, shopping cart, or on-site contact database.

Essential browser storage may be used later to remember a privacy choice or accessibility preference. It will not be described as “essential” if it is used for advertising or cross-site measurement.

5. Google AdSense and Google Analytics

If Google AdSense or Google Analytics is enabled later, this policy and the site's consent controls will be updated before activation. Google services may use cookies, IP addresses, device identifiers, browser information, and interactions to provide, measure, personalize, or protect services, depending on consent, configuration, and region.

Learn how Google uses data on partner sites at Google's partner-sites policy. Advertising controls are available through My Ad Center.

6. Consent in regulated regions

Before serving personalized advertising in regions where Google requires it, the site will use a Google-certified consent management platform and the applicable IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Visitors will be able to accept, reject, or manage relevant choices. Advertising will not be activated first and explained later.

7. External links

Links to PlayStation, Rockstar Games, manufacturers, stores, and other external sites are governed by those sites' privacy policies. Opening an external link leaves playstation5.co.

8. Retention, disclosure, and security

Email is retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, document a correction, protect the site, or meet legal obligations. Information may be disclosed to hosting or email providers that process it on the site's behalf, or when required by law. No online service can promise absolute security.

9. Your choices

You may ask whether an email correspondence is retained and request correction or deletion where applicable. Requests may require reasonable verification. Browser settings can also block or delete cookies, although that may affect future consent preferences.

10. Children and changes

The site is a general-audience gaming publication and does not knowingly collect profiles from children. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new update date.
